Nomelet - Not an Omelet


  • 1 1/2 c garbanzo flour
  • 3 T nutritional yeast
  • 3 T ground flax seed
  • 1 1/2 t baking powder
  • 1 t cumin
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 t garlic salt
  • 1/2 t turmeric
  • 1/2 t paprika
  • 1/4 t black salt (kala namak)
  • 1/4 t black pepper


  1. Combine wet ingredients plus yeast and let it bubble a little.
  2. Combine all ingredients.
  3. Mix one-to-one with water before each use.
  4. Prepare a filling of a handful of vegetables.
  5. Spoon a thin circle of batter into a heated pan.
  6. Add vegetables and cook until slightly browned.

Nomelet, as in not an omelet and as in nom nom nom. 😂
