Wurzelbrot Rustic Twisted Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 c warm water 100ยฐF or less
  • 1 T molasses
  • 1 T instant dry yeast
  • 1 T salt
  • 6 c flour
  • 3/4 c rye flour

Directions

  1. Combine the yeast and wet ingredientsโ€”let it bubble a little.
  2. Combine the rest of the dry ingredients
  3. Mix everything together.
  4. Let the dough rise for at least an hour.
  5. Preheat oven to 450ยฐF and add some water to steam.
  6. Bake a grapefruit-sized, twisted length of dough for 20 minutes.

Because: ๐Ÿฅ– and because it doesn’t always have to be twisted. ๐Ÿ˜‚
