Homemade Flour Tortillas

Flour Tortillas


  • 3 c flour
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 1/3 c vegetable oil
  • 1 c warm water


  1. Combine dry ingredients.
  2. Combine wet ingredients.
  3. Mix enough wet into dry ingredients to get a crumb-like consistency.
  4. Add the rest of the wet ingredients until blended.
  5. Form dough into pucks and let them sit for 20 minutes.
  6. Roll out the pucks into thin sheets.
  7. Cook each side in a skillet on medium high until it starts to bubble.
  8. Wrap tortillas in a towel until they are ready to serve.
